Collective Action
The rise of the Broligarchy and their integration into authoritarian politics in 2025 has meant that small numbers of people reducing their use of Big Tech products will not be enough. Gains made in 2024 in Anti-Trust law and other regulation are being walked back on both sides of the Atlantic. The only option is to TOTALLY QUIT big tech services EN MASSE.
Authoritarianism cannot survive long-term if the masses take part in non-violent collective action. Research has shown that if just 3.5% of the population resist then dictatorships fail. And we, the people, have the numbers. We can apply that to both political change and resisting the broligarchy, so take action today, starting with the Big Tech Walkout programmes:
The Big Tech Walkout 2025
ππΌ Phase 1: Follow the full 2025 programme here ππΌ
This is phase 1 of the Big Tech Walkout. We called it '2025' because we started it in 2025, and it was our way of doing something (and trying to reclaim '2025' from the Project 2025 freaks). The 2025 programme never goes out of date: it's the 'easy intro' phase of the Walkout. Please share the hashtag #BigTechWalkout2025 to help others find it.
Aim to have the 2025 programme done within three months. You can do it much quicker than that, or take your time. Either way you can relax knowing you're helping starve the big tech beast of the data it craves!
The Big Tech Walkout 2026
ππΌ Phase 2: Follow the full 2026 programme here ππΌ
The 2026 programme is phase 2, and continues where the 2025 one left off. It's a 12 month programme but it can be done quicker than that. Taking part in the Big Tech Walkout adds you to millions who are taking collective action against big tech by helping themselves individually.
Media Liberation Day - 5th November

Various non-profit work to resist big tech - show your support
Please sign up to Foxglove's newsletter here, and sign their petitions to resist data centres in the UK, and other big tech excesses. Their voice is heard by the UK government.
Please sign up to Big Brother Watch's newsletter here, and support their petitions and campaigns to resist the increasing surveillance in the UK.
Please sign up to Privacy International's newsletter here, and support their campaigns to e.g. reduce big tech's move into weapons building.
There are many more non-profit organisations working to make tech better - find them listed on our Unite page. Most run on donations so please donate to them.
Large-scale protests and strikes
Black Out The System are regularly organising mass shut down strikes in the US. More details here.
Indivisible are organising further No Kings protests in the US. Find details here and join them. They also have smaller divisions in London and elsewhere in Europe. Given the merging of big tech and far-right politics, these protests are also important to weaken the broligarchy and surveillance capitalism.
